A walk with the Good Samaritan. We’ll be looking at how I, like the innkeeper, might commit myself to complete an action of some kind for another. The evening will include scripture, reflection, and sharing.

Not what you did… but what was the impact on them! What you did that diminished the quality of their lives? Which of these areas were affected? Physical; Emotional; Mental; Financial; Spiritual 2. What specifically can I do to balance the Justice scale? My change of behavior? My repair of damage? Step 9 ~ Willingness to address the damage to complete he Forgiveness Process: How do I prepare properly? How do I make amends to people I can’t find? How do I make effective amends to people I should not contact? or who don’t want contact with me? How do I make amends to dead people? What is the “Forgiveness Process”?

Lenten Reflections: Part Four ~ Fasting: Hosted online via zoom by Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center. “Fasting” is a key element of the tradition of Lent, but what does “fasting” really mean to us today? This session will examine the traditional meaning of fasting and practical applications that will improve our Lenten experience and those around us. Finally, we will see how fasting can still be a valuable component of our Lenten Journey.
Lenten Reflections: Part Five ~ Reconcile: Hosted online via zoom by Serra Retreat Center. The definition of “Reconcile” means, to restore harmony, to make peace, and to resolve differences. Tonight’s presentation, will examine the importance of being of one mind and one heart even in difficult times. This was the prayer of Jesus, the night before he died. St. Francis of Assisi demonstrates how we can turn from negative behavior to constructive fellowship. I will offer 8 steps to enhance your Spiritual Life as we prepare ourselves to celebrate Easter.

In this four hour workshop Dr. Berger and Herb K. will describe and explore the important concept of emotional sobriety. They believe it is the key to optimal living and full recovery. Join these two pioneers in learning about emotional sobriety and how it can help you take the next step in your recovery. Honestly ask yourself:· Am I restless, irritable and discontent?· Do I have a healthy and happy life?· Do I have balance, especially in my relationships? Human development evolves through stages: Stage I: Realization of need for change. In most people, a result of suffering! Stage II: Improving healthy relationships with ourself & others. Stage III: Sustaining balance and serenity by a daily PRACTICE of PRINCIPLES … resulting in a fully authentic and integrated life.
Lenten Reflections: Part Six ~ Collective Wisdom on this Journey: Hosted online via zoom by all Los Angeles retreat centers, facilitated by Dr. Michael Cunningham. In preparation for Holy Week and the end of the Lenten journey the teams from the retreat centers will pray the Stations of the Cross and then review and discuss the input and wisdom gathered during the journey together on the program.
Join Mary & Joseph Retreat Center for the fifth annual Pilgrim Walk, a 4.8 mile walk through the streets and trails of Palos Verdes to the sacred grounds of the retreat center. As pilgrims, walkers will be blessed, walk to various stations for reflection and to have passports stamped. Modeled after the famous pilgrimage, “the Way”, to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, this half day walk is adapted to our own time and neighborhood. All ages and faiths welcome. All activities will be outdoors. Schedule: 7 am registration opens, 7:30 blessing of all pilgrims, first groups depart, walk in a calm meditative way, 11:30: closing prayer and grace, picnic lunch at noon.
*Remote Via Zoom* Path to Personal Freedom ~ 12 Traditions: Seven, Eight and Nine: The topic of this workshop will be Traditions Seven, Eight and Nine. The 12 Traditions, approved in 1950, established Principles for behavior within each group as well as between all groups. Many individuals have found these guidelines useful in their personal lives and relationships with others.
