Design for Living: Awakening
DESIGN FOR LIVING: AWAKENING is our focus. We will discuss, explore, and experience the application of 12 Steps in our daily lives. These are practical suggestions that can open our hearts and minds to review our approach to living our life! Our suffering is the “great persuader”. When we are disturbed what can we do? Is what you are doing not working? Does your daily program need support and to be re-freshed?
This workshop will explore the practice of daily inventory and meditation as effective means of expanding our AWAKENING. We will unpack the practical use of both to foster our own personal Transformation, sustaining Emotional balance and Spiritual vitality. This path of expanding consciousness produces optimal living. When we have a meaningful connection beyond ourselves and live a life of awareness - we discover our life’s purpose. We will discuss our WAY of LIVING as our practical PRACTICE for a life that flourishes!
Centering Prayer Group Practice
Centering Prayer Group Practice
Centering Prayer is a practice to foster our relationship with God. It is a movement beyond conversation to communion and union with God. It prepares us for the gift of contemplation. Centering Prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer or meditation; rather it casts new light and depth of meaning on all of the various ways we open ourselves to new levels of consciousness. Gather with us to practice. ALL are welcome to join in this experience. Greg Johnson is a lay contemplative and computer scientist by profession. He has been active in contemplative practice for over 30 years. Herb Kaighan is a retired professional who has been on a spiritual path since his youth. He leads workshops & retreats and is a trained spiritual director. He has authored 4 books on spiritual awakening & meditation.
Connecting with your Inner Wisdom through SoulCollage
Connecting with your Inner Wisdom through SoulCollage
SoulCollage® is a gentle, intuitive, creative process that involves creating small collage cards that participants use as a powerful tool for ongoing self-reflection, self-awareness and community building. Through the use of images, symbols, and pictures from magazines and periodicals and other sources, the participants in this workshop will engage in the reflective process to create collage cards, that they can use as tools for prayer, meditation & connecting with their inner spirituality or soul wisdom. As part of the workshop, we will integrate the labyrinth of Mary & Joseph Center. We will provide the materials – magazines, scissors, glue sticks, SoulCollage®cards, etc.
