Weekend Healing Retreat: Begin with the Heart ~ Meister Eckhart

“I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you” ~Ezekiel 36.26. “In his Evangelii Gaudium, 2013, Pope Francis repeatedly calls for fresh eyes and insight, for new and imaginative ways of talking about the enfleshing of God in Jesus, the Human One, and therefore, in every single human being that ever existed. And about how that transforms us and the whole world” ~ Daniel J. O’Leary.
The following prayer taken from John Kirvan’s Silent Hope expresses very simply the essence of this retreat: “You who are beyond mystery hear my prayer. Let wonder loose in my soul. Let hope begin. Unwrap the mystery of your presence for without it, without you, I am living half a life. Without wonder, without hope my life is not, will not be worth living.”
The Retreat is an opportunity to allow the heart to be touched through the power of God’s healing love. It offers times for quiet reflection and prayer, personal ministry, and daily celebration of the Eucharist. The sacrament of reconciliation will also be available for those wishing to avail themselves of the sacrament. There will be a general healing service on Saturday evening in the Chapel for all those wishing to attend.
Fr. Pat is a member of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in the Western Region of the United States Province. He has been active/involved in the Healing Ministry for over forty years. He resides at the Community House in Hemet, California.
